Netflix and Wafers

Random title, I know, but what is better than having a random title for an altogether random post? I honestly have no idea, and I’m sure you’re struggling to find something better than that… I’ll count ice cream as being maybe a little better than that. Just maybe.

Anyway, I came here to say that, I completely forgot what I was going to say. Ok now I remember! Alright, so I originally came to my computer with the brilliant, and completely original idea that you can, indeed, watch Netflix from your computer!! Blows the mind, am I right, or am I right?

You see, I was supposed to go upstairs with my computer after everyone else went to bed so our melodramatic cat would keep from waking everyone up with her wailing, so I was thinking, “Aw man!! I really wanted to watch some more Scrubs tonight! What am I going to do??!” Thankfully, my brother came to my rescue, and told me that I could instead, watch it on the computer. So, you are reading the text of a changed lady, because starting now, my life has already started to change, drastically!! And now, instead of resorting to watching Netflix solely on TV, I can continue to watch alllll of my favorite shows on my computer anywhere, even when I am supposed to be sleeping!!

So, after learning that, naturally, I decided to come here to blog about it. Who wouldn’t, you know? It seemed like something mind-boggling to share. The mind is blown. Poof!

In other news, that’s not the only thing I wanted to talk about. As you can see by looking back at the title, I have only covered about 1/3 of the title, and I know what you’re thinking, “1/3? There are only two different parts to talk about!” Exactly. But, you can’t forget the crucial little word in the middle.

AND.

That’s it. AND. It’s a very important part though, because it provides me and you with a way to connect these two very unrelated topics together. You see, this AND makes the whole title possible, and sensible, because you wouldn’t want Netflix Wafers. Honestly, who in the history of anyone has ever heard of that? I haven’t, but if they existed, they probably would be an overnight hit. Actually, just thinking about it makes my mouth water… Though I’m sure a lot of people have eaten some sort of wafers, like those Nilla wafers with milk while watching Sherlock Holmes or Downtown Abbey to get their biscuit on.

Moving on, the AND makes a perfect transition to the next topic of randomness, which has nothing to do with anything I was talking about before, and encapsulates the perfectly nonsensical sense of this scintillatingly sensible… sort of… post thingy (dang, I’ve got no more s words left in the noggin’…).

AAnnnywayyysss (As you can see, I get distracted very easily, which makes a focused blog post very difficult. Focused anything can be a challenge for me anytime actually), as I was saying… WAFERS.

So like I said, wafers refers to something entirely different, and actually, a little more on the serious side. And I know what you’re thinking: “How do you know what I’m thinking?” Well, that’s besides the point. And do stop asking questions now, I need to focus.

So on the serious side, I just so happened to have another very interesting thought while participating in communion at church last Sunday. We had already taken the wafer (and my apologies, the wafer part of the title has now been mentioned, so what’s left?), and the ushers passed out (haha well, I would hope they wouldn’t all pass out, that would be rather messy with dat grape juice all over the place. Though I don’t see why they would pass out, the lighting was rather good in there…) the teeny tiny cups of grape juice to the congregation. While everyone received their portion, I stared down at my grape juice cup for a minute, thinking at how small the amount was. I mean, it really was TINY man!!

But it put it all in a few different perspectives for me, because even a tiny bit of His blood can cover us in the unfathomably huge blanket of grace, like say even a teaspoon of it could cover us, I would bet.

Nevertheless, I was thinking that the bite-sized communion wafers and the teeny tiny grape juice cups are not an accurate proportion in our eyes to feel like we are covered by that unfathomably huge blanket he lovingly places on us. If I wanted an accurate proportion, I would need a wafer the size of all of the lands combined and a cup of grape juice the size of all of the oceans combined, because his grace is just that great. And fitting, that Psalm 36:6 covers this idea, “Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast.”

In addition, there is a song by Kutless with the words, “Your love is deeper than any ocean, higher than the heavens, Reaches beyond the stars in the sky.” Here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fqx7lEru9mc (hopefully it works).

So yeah, I’m going to leave this post at that, in fear of doing too much at once. And hey, it’s only 1 am, and not my usual 3 am!! Success muffin!! Now, maybe I’ll watch the Netflix that I came for. Unfortunately, without wafers.
